Eagles in Action

Eagles in Action is a program that benefits a countless number of service project recipients, as well as the students in grades K-8 at St. John’s Lutheran School who have provided the service.  This program provides service opportunities for all students, involves participation by family members, and utilizes partnerships with local regional, national and international service organizations.

Through Eagles in Action, students are provided with opportunities to experience firsthand, sharing the love and good news of Jesus Christ with people in need.  It creates a culture of service throughout our school, which has carried into the futures of those who participate.

The primary goal of Eagles in Action is to help to prepare students for lives of service in sharing the love of God with others.

Eagles in Action provides students with service opportunities year after year, creating a culture of service which reaches out to the world around them.  Through Eagles in Action, students participate in collaboration, decision making, planning, advertising, public speaking, and hands-on service.

3rd Grade Eagles in Action 2023

Our school theme verse this year is “Connected to the vine” John 15:1-5. Eagles in Action service projects will give us all the opportunity to live that verse this year and in training for life as connected followers of Jesus. During this school year, 3rd grade will use chapel offerings we collect in August and September to purchase food and non-food items each month for the LaGrange Area Food Pantry. Snap or Link cards don’t cover items like toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, toilet paper, or diapers. So each month, we’ll focus on one non-food item to buy and donate. We also use a portion of the money each month to purchase sale items like cereals, pastas, and canned goods. Thank you for helping us serve in our community, and grow in our faith as disciples of Jesus.
